The Nock and Son Company Founded in 1948, the company manufactures castables, plastics, and ramming mixes primarily for the steel, foundry and alloy industries. The Nock and Son Company is still family owned and under the same management as it was originally. In fact, the Nock family has been associated with the refractory industry for over 100 years. All manufacturing is done at a 60,000 square foot plant in Oak Hill, Ohio which was built in 1971. Sales are concentrated within 500 miles of the plant.
