American Precast Refractories, Inc. (APRI) specializes in the manufacture of custom refractory shapes for the metal melting industry. APRI focuses on fired precast shapes that service the steel (integrated steel and electric arc furnace), foundry, aluminum, and specialty melting markets.

With 25 years of combined experience in forming, mixing, casting, and curing refractory shapes, APRI offers the capability to design and precision form the exact size and shape needed for the application.

A wide range of specialized refractory shapes includes those utilized in both coreless and channel induction melting furnaces. In addition, APRI produces custom EAF delta sections, furnace spouts, cupola breast blocks, blast furnace casthouse shapes, ladles, tap out troughs and launders, ladle impact pads, dams, weirs, baffles, as well as covers, to name a few.

Available castable refractory includes high alumina, flint-based, mullite, magnesia, spinel-forming materials, insulating products, and silicon carbide-based castables. APRI will also manufacture precast shapes from customer-specified refractories.
